Online Voting Opens for MU Advisory Board Elections

Members in the Education, ED&I, Live and Music Writers sectors are invited to cast their vote in the MU Advisory Board elections before the 16 March deadline.

On Monday 23 February 2026, our online elections opened for the following MU Advisory Boards:

All members that we hold a valid email address for, and who are registered in these sectors, should have received an email to vote.

Check your inbox for your voting link

The email was sent by the Independent Scrutineers, UK Engage, who are conducting the ballot on behalf of the MU. The email address they use to send the emails is Vote@ukevote.uk.

If you have not received an email from Vote@ukevote.uk, please check your junk/spam email folders and if you still cannot find the email, contact mu@uk-engage.org for assistance.

Please add Vote@ukevote.uk to your safe sender list to ensure your ballot email does not go to spam.

Voting deadline is 16 March at midday

Please note voting closes on Monday 16 March 2026 at midday (12:00). Votes received after this time will not be counted.

MU to Attend FOCUS Wales 2026 in Wrexham

Taking place from 7-9 May, FOCUS Wales is an international showcase spotlighting over 250 artists and featuring industry sessions, arts events, film screenings and more. The MU will be hosting a series of coffee morning drop-in sessions, as well as an afternoon mixer event.

Changes to Enhanced AccessNI Disclosure Checks

From 17 February 2026, legislative changes in Northern Ireland allow self-employed musicians working with children and vulnerable adults to apply for an Enhanced AccessNI disclosure check through a registered Umbrella Body.
