About the event
Members in Wales and South West England are invited to the third annual Regional Members’ Day, a free event for members from across the region in Bristol.
This will include workshops (tbc) and the regional AGM, which is your opportunity to discuss the Union’s work and make things happen, as well as time to meet and network with other members from across the region.
We want the Members’ Day to be as accessible as possible, so it’s totally free to attend, with lunch and refreshments provided, as well as the opportunity to join online. Members are welcome to join for all, or part of the day.
Reasonable travel expenses to and from the event can also be paid to enable members to attend, but please do get in touch with us to confirm your place and travel plans before booking tickets to avoid any issues.
The day is a great chance to meet your regional officials and other members, benefit from training, and find out more about the Union’s work.

Your AGM, Your MU
Lots of membership organisations have Annual General Meetings (or 'AGM'), and trade unions are no exception. The MU has regional AGMs.
Trade unions have power because of their members, and the MU is no exception. Our democratic structures means that everything we say and do has the power of over 36,000 musicians behind it.
Our AGMs are a vital part of that - this is your chance to find out what’s going on where you are and have your say on issues affecting you. The regional team will explain their work on your behalf with a chance for you to ask questions.
How to attend
The AGM will be hosted in a hybrid mode, so just let us know how you intend to participate when you book:
- in-person at Future Inns Bristol, Cabot Circus, Bond Stret, Bristol, BS1 3EN
- and online via Zoom.
Reasonable travel expenses to and from the day can also be paid to enable members to attend, but please do get in touch with us to confirm your place and travel plans before booking tickets to avoid any issues.
You will need your MU membership number to complete the booking form. If you do not know your MU membership number you can find this by: logging in to your My MU account; checking your email invite from us; or contacting us directly.
Accessibility
The MU makes every effort to ensure that all events we organise are accessible to everyone who would like to attend. We want to provide equal access to our events for all our members.
If you have any access requirements you would like us to be aware of and / or you will be attending with a personal assistant / support worker, please include these details in the event's booking form below.
The venue, Future Inns, should be accessible. It has lift access, wide doors, and fully accessible toilets, as well as disabled parking bays nearby.
Should you wish to discuss this prior to booking, please contact your Wales and South West England Regional Office on 02920 456 585 or via email at wswe@themu.org.
