About the event
The Creative Industries Safety Passport is an online, one-day health and safety course designed specifically for creative professionals - whether employed or freelance - working in film, TV, theatre, and live events.
The course is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) through their nationally recognised Passport scheme. It aligns with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) syllabus guidelines, as well as ScreenSkills’ National Occupational Standards in Health and Safety units X2, X3, and X3.5. Additionally, it adheres to the BECTU/UK Theatre Code of Conduct for Get-ins and Get-outs.
Qualification
This is a Level 2 qualification, valid for three years, and includes a digital workbook (PDF) and a durable, credit card-sized ID card featuring a tamper-proof HoloKote finish.
All Safety Passport holders are registered on IOSH’s central database, making verification quick and straightforward. With increasing demand from employers for evidence of health and safety training, BECTU provides an accredited qualification tailored specifically to professionals in the creative industries.
