About the event

This online session looks at how you can organise and take control of your finances, understand taxes and not get bogged down in paperwork.

It is aimed at people who work in the creative industries, particularly those who are either currently freelance or thinking of going freelance.

We will cover:

  • How to set budgets in your personal life and target how hard to work
  • How HMRC treats various types of freelancer
  • Record-keeping for freelancers, incl. HMRC’s new reporting requirements
  • How to agree work and get paid on time
  • How to reduce stress with cash flow planning

How to prepare

It will be an interactive session so please check you have a working mic and/or camera.

We’ll be going through a lot on the screen so a computer or laptop will be much better than a tablet or phone. The bigger the screen, the better! It won’t be compulsory to be in vision, but it will help with some of the discussion sections. We will also run some polls and quizzes using a separate quiz website. This works really smoothly if you have your mobile to hand as well.

How to attend

View more details and book your place via Eventbrite (using the button below).
