About Scott Feeney
I am a passionate musician, songwriter, perfomer and guitar tutor based in East Kilbride, Glasgow. I graduated with a First Class (Hons) degree in Popular Music Studies at Uhi, Perth, recieving the Boss/Roland Musicianship and Creative Practice Award for highest achiever. I have have been apart of a 6-day songwriting residency through the Liam Colgan Music Fund, a songwriting camp through Pirate Studios (sponsored by RedBull), and I was asked to play at the Catherine McEwan Foundations annual charity gala event.
I started playing music when I was 12 at the start of High School, gravitating towards the drum kit and slowly over time being influenced by artists such as David Gray, Newton Faulkner, Ben Howard, Joni Mitchell and Coldplay. Now eleven years on, I have a band called 'Wanderer', I consistently write and collaborate with other artists, and I teach guitar with Beatroute Arts in Springburn, and freelanced.
My band Wanderer started in March 2024 with my good friend and bandmate Cairn Murphy. We started of as a duo and under the name 'Bonsai', but now we have a full 4-piece with a 6-track EP on the horizon aiming to be released independently by the end of this year. We released our first single 'Better Of Friends' in May 2025 and recieved a great response, securing us gigs at Motherwell FC's hospitality lounge and - more significantly - at both Pavillion Festivals Breakthrough Artist and VIP stages.
