Singer/Songwriter Pianist Rob Hodkinson is the lead singer and frontman of Chasing Deer.

Drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Elton John, Coldplay, and Brandon Flowers, Chasing Deer’s music blends contemporary pop nostalgia with an indie/rock attitude. His critically acclaimed songs have been featured on BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing, and Amazing Radio, and the opening jingle on Matt Lucas’ BBC Radio 2 show.

Rob’s innovative approach to promoting accessibility in music has been highlighted in TV interviews on Sky News, Sky Arts, BBC Two, and London Live, alongside coverage of his sold-out album launch shows. With over 2500 performances under his belt, Rob has graced the stages of some of the world’s most prestigious events, including The Royal Albert Hall, The Houses Of Parliament, Carnaby Street Christmas Lights, Trafalgar Square, The London Marathon, The NME Awards, Pride in London, Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta, Symphony Hall, and Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Rob’s musical journey has taken him across the globe, touring extensively around The UK, Europe, The USA, Caribbean, South America, Japan, Kenya, Australia and Papua New Guinea. Shows in 2025 included new countries Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama, Namibia and South Africa, as well as a Commonwealth Performance for the BBC in Westminster Abbey.
