About Kay Charlton

I am a trumpeter, composer and educator; I teach the trumpet and run creative workshops for schools, ensembles and for teacher CPD, with a focus on whole class instrumental tuition.

I play with the Bollywood Brass Band, who have performed all over the world and released 6 CDs; I writa and arrange for the band and run our education programme.

I have written tutor books for brass and wind (Clifton Editions / Warwick Music), and pieces for Trinity College London’s Piano syllabus. I am the author of 'How to Teach Whole-Class Instrumental Lessons : 50 inspiring ideas' (Collins Music 2020).
