About Gareth Haze
My name is Gareth Haze and I'm a singer/songwriter based in London, UK performing original material in the folk, rock, pop, emo, and punk styles; as well as acoustic versions of classic tracks, modern hits, and obscure b-sides.
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa where I performed for several years as a drummer and backing vocalist for Mark Haze (who happens to be my brother) as well as 12th Avenue. During that time I had the privilege of sharing the stage with Seether, Dead Letter Circus, and Bon Jovi, and was able to tour extensively and record several albums with successful radio singles.
At the beginning of 2022 after taking some time out of the music business, I decided to take the plunge and step out from behind the drums to centre stage, performing as a singer/songwriter.
I have written several original songs, which I plan to soon record and release, and have been playing all over London. I'm looking forward to continuing this momentum and playing plenty more shows.
My first single, "Home", was released in 2023, and I'll be releasing more music as a solo artist in 2025 and beyond. I'm also currently playing drums in an indie/hip-hop band called Funky Nature.
