About Daniela Magni

Daniela is a London-based independent singer, songwriter, and music educator, with deep roots in both the UK and Italy. A graduate from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a Master in Music Performance & Education, she blends her passion for neo-soul, jazz, pop, and Italian music into a unique, soulful sound. Her songwriting explores themes of personal strength, relationships, and introspection.

She has performed internationally, sharing stages with artists like Mitch Winehouse (Amy Winehouse’s father), Robin Banerjee (former guitarist of Amy Winehouse), Ray Gelato (The God Father of Swing), and has been featured at iconic venues like the 100 Club and Southbank Centre as part of an only women ensemble backing Sister Sledge. As a session vocalist and topliner, she collaborated with independent labels and producers in Pop, R&B, Jazz, Indie and Electro swing genres in the UK and Europe. As a songwriter and performer, she released her debut EP project "Lies" in 2021, with the lead single aired on Jazz FM UK; her latest release called "Waiting" which featured Spotify “Your Discover Weekly” playlists.

Daniela is an established vocal coach, founder of The Great Windmill Studio, offering artist development and recording services in central London offering a variety of singing, recording and artist development. Clients’ list included TV Allianz, Fivefootsix, Adelphoi Music - Her clients have performed with BBC Symphonic orchestra and spam from independent pop artists to jazz and spoken word. Daniela has also consulted and collaborated with NatPressPlay on two European tours for Gypsy Jazz guitarist Gonzalo Bergara and secured for them a sponsorship with Duende Percussion.

She looks after outreach and creative programmes at London College of Contemporary Music, bridging the gap between creative talent, higher education and the music industry. Equally at home managing events and partnerships, on behalf of LCCM she has also worked in artist liaison with notable guests such as Dr. Matthew Knowles (Beyonce), Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Kae Tempest), Leigh-Ann (Lil-Mix) and charitable organisations like Youth Music, NYJO and Ark School. Her love for Jazz brought forward the partnership between EFG London Jazz Festival and LCCM in 2024 - She curated the main show at Southbank centre and two others at The Social, selecting artists, overseeing the concept, rehearsals, logistics, and stakeholder coordination. The performances featured talents like Caleb Kunle (MOBO Unsung finalist) and ESN'CE (The Voice UK finalists). She also curated the Women in Jazz Panel (China Moses, Tina Edwards, Louise Paley, Cherise), amplifying female voices in the industry, and facilitated a series of concerts at The Music Box for LCCM students, offering performance opportunities. She curated a series of panels amplifying teh voices of Women in Music with guests like Eve Horne, Saskia Menendez, Saffron Records, Pxssy Palace, and Eva Davies. This achievement was recognised by ILMC Futures Forum as one of the highlights of 2024. She also curated a special panel offering an intergenerational perspective on diversity and inclusion in music, featuring Dr. Mathew Knowles (Beyoncé), Lashawna Ross Stewart (Columbia Records), and Arit Eminue.

Daniela is a passionate advocate for gender equity in the music industry, dedicated to empowering the next generation of musicians, hosting panels, events, meet ups. She is also the founder of W Creative Studios, a nonprofit organisation connecting artists with vacant spaces in central London
