About the room
Our main meeting room at MU HQ is a flexible, well-lit space suitable for a range of layouts. Here are some examples to give you an idea of space:
- Boardroom style: with desks along the walls with chairs sits up to 20 people comfortably (maximum 24)
- Classroom style: with desks tucked away and chair rows with up to 40 people


It’s ideal for:
- Board and committee meetings
- Training sessions and workshops
- Hybrid meetings and roundtables
- Small conferences and briefings.
It is not currently suitable for:
- Music practices or live music performances
- Bookings for parties or celebrations on a per case basis.

Facilities & technology
The room comes equipped with facilities you can use to support in-person and hybrid meetings:
- Hybrid* meeting set-up with Meeting OWL intelligent 360° conference camera, microphone and speaker
- 2 x supersize 68" TV screens for presentations and remote participants
- Dedicated laptop available for hybrid meetings, slides and video
- Flip charts available on request
- High-speed broadband included.
Accessibility and support

- Room fitted with a hearing induction loop
- Friendly, dedicated MU staff member on hand to assist with set-up and any queries.
Normal room operating hours are 10:00 – 17:30, Monday - Friday. Minor variations outside these times, evening and weekend opening may be available on request.
*Additional information for hybrid meetings
Meetings are run by event organisers from a dedicated laptop in the meeting room.
For this reason, we request that Zoom/Teams meeting links be sent in advance to MUmeetingroom@themu.org so we can test and set up the meeting before you arrive.
We recommend event organisers arrive at least half an hour prior to the event starting to ensure everything’s working.
If you have specific technical requirements outside the norm (showing films, presentations etc.) please let us know well in advance. We’re great at setting up your meetings but once we’ve done that, it's over to you.
Please note that we do not have dedicated AV technicians on site.
