PRS Members’ Fund Offers Summer Family Support for Parents Working in Music Industry

The PRS Members’ Fund is offering financial support for families this summer to help working parents with extra costs during the school holidays.

Working parents in the music industry can now apply for financial support from PRS Members’ Fund through their Summer Family Support programme.

Running until the first week of September, the programme aims to help alleviate worries and pressures during school holiday time by covering extra costs, including holiday clubs and family day trips.

Working parents in the music industry face unique challenges

Working parents in the music industry face unique challenges during the summer holidays, often needing support to balance work commitments with childcare needs.

The programme runs until the first week of September, and parents can apply for funds to help cover the cost of:

  • Holiday clubs (up to £500 for a maximum of two weeks)
  • Family day trips (up to £150)
  • School uniforms (up to £250 for senior school and £50 for primary school)
  • General costs (up to £250)

Eligibility criteria and how to apply

To be eligible for financial support, you must have been a member of PRS for Music for 7 years or have earned £500 in royalties.

Applicants must also provide evidence of child benefit i.e. a letter from HMRC confirming child benefit).
