Starting as a folk club, since the 1960s it has gradually expanded its musical horizons and now puts on gigs by acts in an incredibly broad range of styles ranging from trad Jazz to local hip-hop through reggae and everything in between. With a reputation for breaking emerging talent both past (Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Jimi Hendrix all played pre-stardom gigs in the Club) and present (Adele, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, Laura Marling & Jamie T in the last decade), the Troubadour has an international reputation for being the place in West London to see the stars of tomorrow, today! What we're looking for Gigs at The Troubadour offer emerging musicians the chance to develop their act in front of an appreciative, musically literate crowd that often includes industry attendees, and get paid in the process! As a venue, we are best known for breaking emerging artists (Adele, Jack Peñate, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, Laura Marling, Jamie T and many many more just in the last decade) meaning there are often A&R and industry people in the audience, drawn by our reputation for showcasing the best young talent around. We offer a superb PA system with professional sound engineers, allowing musicians to play the best show they can, and there are also opportunities to develop residencies and to book your own nights. How to book a gig? If you would like to perform at The Troubadour, please send your submissions by email to our Club manager John Talavera, at john@troubadour.co.uk, making sure to include plenty of links to examples of your music (SoundCloud, YouTube, etc.) to help him male an informed decision. He gets lots of applications every day so don't worry if he doesn't get back to you straight away. We hope to see you on our stage very soon!
