Work related stress is a trade union issue, 70% of health and safety reps identified stress as one of the top five hazards in their workplace in the TUC’s safety rep survey. We have resources on the MU website related to stress and other mental health and wellbeing issues which we encourage members to familiarise themselves with – but here are some of our top tips for tackling work related stress. The MU has a network of Safety Reps who can investigate work related stress in your workplace and take it up with your employers / engagers on your behalf. BAPAM have a range of courses on how to prioritise self-care, practical approaches to anxiety, and other aspects of mental health. Find out more.
