Transgender Awareness Week is a time to bring focus to raising the visibility of transgender and gender non-conforming people, and address the issues the community faces.

Events

  • TUC Trade Unions for Trans Rights meeting, Brighton

If you are an ally and want to meet like minded people, you can sign up for the Trade Union Congress’ (TUC) upcoming Trade Unions for Trans and Non-binary Rights meeting. It takes place on 23 November, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm in Brighton.

  • STUC Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil, online

The Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) LGBT+ Workers’ Committee will be holding an online event to mark Trans Day of Remembrance at 6:00 pm on 20 November.

The event offers a space to remember those lost, raise awareness about the ongoing discrimination faced by transgender people, and renew STUC’s commitment to building a world that is safe and just for all. The vigil will include reflections from speakers including Jen Bell (Scottish Greens representative and Co-Convenor of Rainbow Greens). The event is open to all trade unionists and allies.
