The Musicians Union supports the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group on ticket abuse.

Greater transparency and fairness is needed to avoid profiteering and exploitation of genuine music fans.

Over inflated ticket prices leads to mistrust within the industry and high secondary prices deny the genuine music fans the opportunity to see their favourite artists.

Grants Programme Opens for Freelance Creatives in the West Midlands

The MU has been working with the West Midlands Combined Authority on their Activate programme, which offers grants to freelance creative sector workers to improve their practice. Applicants are also advised to attend the briefing webinar on 30 August before applications open.
