Creative Scotland have announced the eligibility criteria for the £5m Hardship Fund for Creative Freelancers, which you can read on their website.

Applications open at 12:00 pm on Monday 26 October and whilst there is no deadline, a high volume of applications is expected and so the fund will remain open so long as there is budget available.

Awards for any sum from £500-£2000 can be requested and where there may be specific needs, then it may be possible to request more.

Our National Organiser for Scotland & Northern Ireland responded to the news:

“We are pleased to hear the announcement of the details for this critical fund and the broad scope of the criteria which will mean fewer creative freelancers falling through the gaps.

“We are sure this will come as a welcome relief to many who, until this point, have received very little and in many cases, nothing at all in terms of financial support.”
