March organisers at the Trades Union Congress (TUC) are working with the TUC Disabled Workers Committee to ensure the event is as accessible as possible for everyone.

At the march

The march will include quiet areas for disabled marchers during the form up of the rally and at a rest stop on the march route.

Information about public toilets can be found on the Westminster City Council website. Information on wheelchair accessible stations can be found via Transport for London.

There will also be a short march option, which will form up at Whitehall Place from 11am to midday. Members on the short march will then join the rest of the march on Whitehall for the last 500m to Parliament Square.

A map of both march routes can be found on the TUC website.

Attendees can go straight to the rally in Parliament Square if they prefer.

At the rally

Level access to Parliament Square and a designated viewing area for disabled attendees will be indicated in advance and signposted on the day. Some chairs will be available, however the TUC recommends bringing your own if you can.

There will also be a small number of charging points for power chairs subject to safe weather, and water will be supplied for guide dogs.

British Sign Language interpretation will be provided, and the rally will also be live streamed on Facebook with live captions. However, please note that screens may not be available in the designated viewing area for disabled members.

More information is available via the TUC.
