MU Attends Eisteddfod 2024 For the First Time

The National Eisteddfod, which celebrates Welsh culture and language, takes place this week in Pontypridd and the MU will be present for the first time as we work to develop the Union's Welsh language provision. Members are also invited to meet their regional officials there on 9 August.

The National Eisteddfod is the largest cultural festival in Europe. It is a unique celebration of Welsh arts, language and culture. Held annually during the first week of August, the travelling festival visits different areas of Wales to showcase Welsh music, literature, art and more.

The MU is pleased to be attending for the first time this year, as part of our work to develop the Union's Welsh language provision and engagement.

The 2024 festival takes place in Pontypridd town centre from Saturday 3 to Saturday 10 August. Book tickets or find out about travel arrangements getting to and from the events.
