Raising a Motion with the London Regional Committee Last updated: 26 July 2024 A motion is a proposal for action that, if passed by a vote of the members at Conference, must be adopted by the Union. To first raise a motion with the London Regional Committee (LRC), you will need to fill in an LRC Motion Form. You can do this via the button below. Fill in the form In order for your motion to be considered by the Committee, you will need to provide full names and membership numbers of five supporting MU members. They must be current members of the MU London Region. When writing your motion, remember that you are writing a view that you wish the Committee to adopt. This is why the suggestions on the form begin "This Committee...". They are only suggestions though, and you should write in your own voice. You can find more guidance and tips on how to write a good motion via the links below:  How the MU works - all about the full process of raising a motion What is a motion and how do you write one?
