About Simon Vasey
I’ve been playing drums for over 30 years in pit orchestras for shows, big bands, various function and covers bands and recorded at the BBC. I’ve toured the UK with various bands and played some of the great shows including We Will Rock You, Billie Elliot, Avenue Q and The Full Monty at regional theatres in and around London. I’ve played pantomimes, musical reviews, Big Band shows as well as the private parties.
I have also had the privilege of being a coach and mentor to people in business and Government during my career. So now as a drum teacher with a passion for drumming and a professional attitude, I hope to inspire others to get as much joy out of drumming as I do.
I'm currently performing with the New River Dixielanders Trad Jazz Band, the Red Queens originals indie rock and Carrie the musical at the Bridewell Theatre.
