The Hub to Hold Free Day of Events to Support Mental Health

Creative consultancy, The Hub, are marking World Mental Health Day on Saturday 10 October, by holding a day of free online events.

On Saturday 10 October, The Hub will be co-ordinating the Balance OneDayer – full of talks, workshops, coaching sessions (plus a living room disco) designed to help artists and creative freelancers take better care of their minds.

Interested participants are advised to book their places in advance, you can book tickets to as many events as you want, and all are free to participate in.

Highlights include:

  • A laughter yoga workshop
  • Coaching taster sessions
  • Writing for wellbeing
  • A talk on how to “Turn and face the strange: embracing the future and staying true to yourself”
  • A building a balance toolkit workshop

MU Addresses MPs on Music Education

The MU addressed MPs on music education, warning that stagnant funding, university course closures and worsening conditions for teachers are putting the future of music education at risk. The General Secretary also followed up on her meeting with Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
