About Helen Shepherd

A qualified primary school teacher, working in Birmingham, Italy, Pontefract and Leicester over a 15yr period. My career led me to special needs and working as a Behaviour Support Teacher in Leicester where I advised and trained teachers on Positive Behaviour Management Strategies aiming to avoid childdren being permanently excluded. As a classical guitarist I occasionally taught pupils over the years and when I decided that I wanted to teach music again, I was lucky enough to start teaching in a Leicester school in 2008. I have been teaching guitar ever since. I work in Leicestershire and Rutland schools as well as teaching private pupils at home and I will travel to pupil's homes if convenient.
I love teaching guitar and have 14 years experience teaching up to Grade 6 with both Trinity and ABRSM exam boards and a 100% success rate.
