Showcase Applications Open: Pitch Scotland Conference of Hip Hop and Underground Culture

Artists performing in genres such as rap, hip hop, afrobeat, r&b, drill, grime, garage and soul can apply to perform at Pitch Scotland’s music showcase in Glasgow on 27-29 August. Applications close on Friday 25 April.

Pitch, Scotland’s international conference of hip hop and underground culture, is returning for its fourth edition and is now welcoming applications for its music showcase.

Taking place from 27-29 August at Drygate Brewery in Glasgow, the three-day programme includes international showcases, plus industry panels, speed meetings, open mic, DJ sets, movement, and dance.

Perform to international music industry delegates and new fans

Artists performing in genres including rap, hip hop, afrobeat, r&b, drill, grime, garage, and soul are encouraged to apply for a showcase slot.

Selected artists will receive:

  • A £250 performance fee
  • A 20-minute set at Pitch, Drygate Brewery
  • PITCH Pro pass
  • Access to PITCH Pro Delegate Database
  • Photography of their live performance
  • Access to 1-2-1 and music feedback sessions
  • Invitations to various PITCH Info sessions

The final decisions will be made by an external panel of music professionals.

Eligibility and how to apply

In order to apply for a showcase slot, artists must have released at least two tracks in the last 12 months.

They must also have experience of at least three live performances in their region/country. For a full list of criteria visit the Pitch Scotland application page.

Applications close on Friday 25 April at 5pm.
