Applications for FAC Step Up Fund 2024 Now Open

UK-based artists can now apply for up to £8,000 in funding to support recording, releasing, content creation, touring or any career-related projects.

The FAC Step up Fund 2024 is now open for applications.

Launched initially in 2022 by the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) to boost the development of talented artists who required support to move to the next stage of their careers, Step Up provides up to ten awardees with financial support of up to £8,000, alongside a broader package of benefits.

UK artists can apply for up to £8,000 in funding

Step Up aims to boost the development of talented artists, acknowledging the financial and structural challenges they face at this particular stage of their careers.

UK-based artists can apply for support on any music-related projects over the course of a 12-month period, for activities such as recording, releasing, content creation, marketing and touring.

The ten successful applicants will receive: 

  • Up to £8,000 in financial support towards a project
  • A one-year FAC PRO membership and exclusive benefit package
  • Access to exclusive FAC partner products and discounts
  • Content creation opportunities with Amazon Music
  • Amazon Echo device
  • 12 month Amazon Music subscription
  • One-to-one support
  • Mentoring opportunities

Eligible applicants must have released at least three songs in the last year

The fund supports projects over the course of a 12-month period. Applications are welcome from professional artists of all genres, based in the UK.

Applicants must:

  • Be aged 18+
  • Have released at least three songs within the last year, with a minimum of 15k streams or one song with 45k streams on a UK chart eligible platform
  • Not have an ongoing agreement with a major or large independent record label, or be in receipt of a large advance.
