Midlands: How to Get The Most Out of Your MU Membership

About the event

New Midlands members are invited to our online event, where we explore how to make the most out of your membership. This is a chance to meet your local officials and fellow members, explore your membership benefits, and learn about how you can get involved in your Union. 

Regional Organiser Stephen Brown, Regional Officer Ben Benson, and Regional Services Assistant Jenny Simpson will be available throughout, and this online zoom meeting will include:

• The chance to ask any questions about our roles and responsibilities within the region
• Finding out how to get the most out of your MU membership
• Learning about the range of legal and other beneficial services we provide
• Looking after your song writing, including copyright advice and use of crucial song share agreements
• Ways to get more involved in the work we do, from the regional committee to the national MU industry sections
• Advice and signposts on accessing funding for musicians
• The opportunity to submit ideas on the kind of member events you would like to see us host in the future
• The chance to network with other members.

Please note that this event is run regularly, so if you’ve attended a new member event previously the content will be the same.
