About Kevin Bishop

I've been playing guitar and harmonica on the grassroots music scene in Leeds for nearly 15 years. I love playing blues harmonica, singing and fingerpicking guitar in a roots/blues/country style.

I dedicated thousands of hours to the study of Chicago blues and pre-war harmonica styles and have been teaching these for nearly five years with great success.

I do solo shows where I play country blues guitar in the style of Mississippi John Hurt, Mance Lipscomb, etc. peppering my set with solo harmonica pieces, blues, gospel, country and more. I cover a wide range of classic songs from the 1920s onwards, including a few originals in a similar style.
