About Dan Csokmei Drums
I am a Hungarian born drummer living in the UK since 2005.
I started playing drums when I was 14. I learnt the basics in a music school. At around the age of 16 I met a drum teacher, who introduced a lot of different styles for example Latin, funk, rock and fusion which gave me a huge inspiration to develop further.
From the age of 20 I played in different bands, toured around Hungary and got some studio recording experience. We entered several national battle of the bands and I won best drummer awards.
After I moved to the UK I played in different projects and bands and achieved a Rockschool Grade 8 certificate. Then I started teaching the drums.
Drumming is my passion, I am very committed and hardworking. I am taking drumming very seriously and developing my skills every day. I am always up for new projects, whether if it is recording or a gig.
