In response to a motion which was carried at the TUC LGBT+ Conference last year, which called on the TUC to launch an alliance for trans and non-binary rights, the TUC is launching a the Trade Unions for Trans Rights Network on 29 April.

The TUC have described their objectives with the network:

“We [the TUC] hope to bring together a range of organisations to build a campaigning network to organise together for trans rights at work and in wider society.

“We envisage that the network would be a space for trade unions to work closely with LGBTQ+ charities and community organisations, to create and share resources and research, and co-ordinate campaigns.”
