About the event

The MU are delighted to work in collaboration with BAPAM to offer our members a vocal health workshop with Kate Valentine, Founder of Valentine Voice Care.

This session covers evidence-based practical tips, drawing from industry experience, research, performance psychology, and proven voice care and rehabilitation strategies.  

We’ll cover: 

  • Common voice issues 
  • Basic voice care and maintenance tips 
  • A deep dive into hydration 
  • Warming up and cooling down 
  • Steaming V nebulising 
  • Cross-training for singers 
  • How to identify ‘red-flag’  signs and symptoms  
  • Where to go for help

About the organiser

Valentine Voice Care offers holistic support and services to professional voice users, as well as advocating for and educating around vocal health and injury prevention.  

Their specialist multidisciplinary teams operate from two locations: Lewes, East Sussex and Glasgow City Centre.
