Arts Council Wales Outlines Response to COVID-19

Arts Council Wales have updated their Coronavirus response page to outline their funding response going forward.

The funding body have said that they will be broadly continuing with funding, but that their funding conditions will be relaxed – and they are asking that that freelancers continue to be paid.

They have stated that:

“Organisations will continue to receive funding but funding conditions that specify types and levels of activity will not apply for at least three months. This comes into force with immediate effect.

“We can also advance grant payments to assist you with cashflow. In exchange for our support, we ask you to honour contracts agreed with freelancers and artists and to think about what help you can offer to your communities.”
