About Lea Soto
Lea Soto is a talented Spanish singer-songwriter based in London, with roots tracing back to Costa Rica and Peru. Raised in a family of classical musicians and immersed in Spanish Folklore, she also drew inspiration from the American rock and pop scene of the 90s.
From a young age, Lea began honing her composition skills, and her talent quickly caught the attention of the music industry. Her debut single, "Hoy," achieved recognition as a finalist in the prestigious La Removida competition in 2014, organized by Spain's National Radio and Sony Music.
In March 2017, Lea released her first album, titled "Volver." This concept album delves into themes of women's rights, climate change, the realm of dreams, and love. With nine powerful songs, it seamlessly fuses Latin-pop-rock elements while delivering delicate yet impactful messages.
Throughout her time in London, Lea has graced various renowned venues, including the Jazz Café, The Barbican, The Bedford, Bolivar Hall, and KOKO, among others. Her captivating performances have garnered widespread acclaim.
Currently, Lea is involved in several exciting music projects. She is collaborating with the #Nosoloflamenco project, showcasing her versatility and passion. Additionally, she lends her incredible vocals and compositional skills to the Latin/Jazz Band Riamba in London, adding a unique flavor to their dynamic sound.
