About Lorna Lancaster

Lorna is from a musical family and as a child learned the piano and flute and later took up the Saxophone.

She went on to study Jazz at an evening class and took and passed Trinity College Jazz Saxophone Grades 6 and 8 with Distinction. Lorna joined several different bands playing all styles from jazz to rock, pop and soul - as a soloist, and in horn sections.

Lorna dedicates her gigging time to bass, but teaches saxophone, flute and bass. As well as being in a covers band gigging most weekends Lorna also plays blues/rock band with her husband on guitar.

Her varied repertoire enables her to take on Dep work and she was resident bassist in an award winning blues jam night in Chelmsford. She is currently resident bassist at a fortnightly jam night in Clacton-On-Sea.
