As a member of the MU, you have a vital role in helping to shape the future of your union.
All eligible members will have received a link to vote via their preferred communication channel from the Independent Scrutineer, UK Engage - either email, text message or post. The ballots opened on Monday 28 February and will close at noon on Monday 21 March. A further reminder and link will be sent to all eligible members on Friday 18 March.
The Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Committee ballot is open to all members to vote, and the Music Writers' Section ballot is open to members of the Music Writers' Section.
The MU’s equalities structures support and encourage activity and ensure we are representing all musicians. The Equalities Committee plays a very important part of this, and the driving force is delivering the MU’s core mission – making sure all musicians are treated fairly and no musician faces barriers in their career because of who they are.
The Music Writers’ Section elected Committee meets to discuss stakeholder issues and, where appropriate, make recommendations to the EC and forms a vital part of the MU’s democracy.
