Through the interactive Wills Service, you will be interviewed on your requirements for your Will – and from these instructions the online form will generate your Will documents for electronic download.

All members are entitled to one free simple and basic Will by utilising the online Wills Service operated by Thompsons Solicitors. Members can access the online Will Service by visiting the Thompsons Solicitors online Wills Service provided by BBH legal Services.

The online Service allows members to complete a Will of their own in their own time. It is convenient and user friendly, and should take around 20-30 minutes to complete. The Will is produced and printed off by the member at the conclusion, with instructions as to how to execute.

This free Service is for a first basic Will for MU members and their spouse/partner. MU In House Solicitor Dawn Rodger welcomed the new benefit:

“I am excited by this welcome new benefit for members. It is so important for everybody to have a will. This online process doesn’t take long, is straightforward and of course, free.”

Some Wills may need to be referred to the bespoke Wills team

Please note that the free online Service is only available for straightforward and simple Wills for members and a simple mirror Will for their spouse or partner.

If there are complicating factors – such as more than one property or property abroad or complicated bequests – then the online Service will automatically refer the member to the Wills team at BBH Legal Services Ltd (a subsidiary of Thompsons Solicitors) for a bespoke Will to be drafted. Bespoke Wills are subject to a fee (at discounted rates) which will be given to you in the form of a quote by the team at BBH.
