The Musicians Union will be attending the NW Music Makers Forum in Derry, taking place on Friday 12 December at New Gate Arts & Culture Centre.
Members are encouraged to come along and join the discussion on how venues, promoters and musicians can work together to support the live music sector.
Strengthening the grassroots music scene in the North West
The forum will focus on how we can support venues and spaces in the North West that facilitate live music, with an open discussion on the challenges of collaboration, potential solutions and new opportunities.
MU Northern Ireland Regional Officer Charlene Hegarty will also be talking about our Fair Play Venue scheme, leading a discussion on the fair treatment of musicians in the live sector and how we can strengthen the grassroots music scene.
Charlene will also be available both before and after for one-to-one sessions with members. To book a session, please email Charlene at charlene.hegarty@theMU.org.
