Latest CITES Update from DEFRA

The update includes new information on CITES as it applies to Northern Ireland and to Mother of Pearl containing items.

Following the latest update from DEFRA, outlining the requirement for cross border travel with instruments containing endangered species, we’ve updated our advice page on musical instruments made of rare materials.

If you do need to complete a Musical Instrument Certificate, we’ve also published an annotated form to assist with this.

Music Declares Emergency to Host First Climate Music Blowout Event

The event – which will run on Sunday 17 October in London – will include an afternoon of discussion on how the UK music industry can respond to the climate emergency, followed by a ticketed evening show celebrating the power of music.
