Prize Draw – Terms and Conditions

  1. 1. The Promoter of this prize draw is the Musicians’ Union of 60 – 62 Clapham Road, London, SW9 0JJ.

  3. 2. The prize draw is open to musicians working in the UK aged 16 years or over, except employees of the Musicians’ Union, their close relatives or anyone otherwise connected with the organisation (except where you are a member only) or the administration of the prize draw.

  2. 3. The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

  2. 4. To enter the prize draw, complete a study via the MU Young Workers Survey – June 2020 on Typeform and enter your email address where indicated by the closing date.

  1. 5. You will have one opportunity to enter the prize draw per survey

  3. 6. All entries must be submitted via the Young Workers’ Survey – June 2020 on Typeform.

7. The opening date for entries is 4:00 pm on 24 June 2020. The closing date of the prize draw is 11:59 pm on 30 June 2020. Entries received after this time will not be counted.

8. We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.

9. A winner will be chosen by random draw on Wednesday 1 July 2020.

10. The winner will receive a £50 Rough Trade Digital Gift Card.

  2. 11. The winner will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being notified by us then the winner's prize will be forfeited and we will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

  4. 12. The prize will be sent to the winner by email within 14 days of responding to us following notification of their win.

  2. 13. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.

  2. 14. The prize is a £50 Rough Trade Digital Gift Card. We reserve the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.

15. Our decision regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

  2. 16. We are required to either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation we will send the surname and county of major prize winner to anyone who emails comms@themu.org or writes to 60 – 62 Clapham Road, London, SW9 0JJ (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within 28 days of the closing date stated in condition 4. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact us at comms@themu.org. In such circumstances, we must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

17. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. We reserve the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

  2. 18. We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

Insofar as is permitted by law, we will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by our negligence. Your statutory rights are not affected.
