Parents in Performing Arts (PIPA) Opens First of a Kind Survey into Balancing Work with Caring Roles

The Musicians’ Union (MU) is supporting Parents in Performing Arts (PIPA) with their wide-scale, first of a kind survey, and is calling on members to take part.

PIPA is collaborating with Birkbeck University of London, to understand the experience of balancing a caring role with a career in the music industry. How do you manage your work when you start a family, or have to care for other people in your life – and what support do you need to make that easier?

Through your answers to this survey, PIPA will gather the information needed to work towards improving conditions for those in caring roles across the dance, music, opera and theatre sectors.

The survey has the potential to revolutionise the way that PIPA works, so please make sure your voice is heard, and share it with your colleagues too.

Take the survey

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and it’s possible to save and return at a later date if you’re unable to in one go.
