Tokyo Conference – performers demand fair share of online revenue

The International Federation of Musicians (FIM) conference held in Tokyo in December has called for fair, proportional and balanced remuneration for the online use of performances.

The International Federation of Musicians (FIM) conference held in Tokyo in December has called for fair, proportional and balanced remuneration for the online use of performances.

Participants, including MU representatives, reaffirmed their support for the Fair Internet campaign which would guarantee a right for performers worldwide to receive a fair remuneration from online music platforms.

As the value generated by online music platforms increases daily, performers must not be excluded from receiving their fair share.

All MU members are urged to visit the Fair Internet site and sign the petition.
